Terre Blanche, Provence

Just a short drive from glamorous French Riviera, tucked away in the rolling hills of Provence you find a true oasis of peace at

Terre Blanche Hotel Spa and Golf Resort.

Built in the style of a typical provencal village, Terre Blanche offers outstanding panoramic views of the surrounding landscape from almost every corner.

The resort ranks among the best golf resorts of Europe and boasts two Championship golf courses for ambitious golfers surrounded by a spectacular landscape. Following an extensive round on the golf course guests can indulge in the 3000m2 Spa.

Just a 30 minute drive away Cannes and the exclusive Côte d’Azur offer glamorous beaches and a wide range of exclusive shops and nightlife.

This is where the glamour of Cote d’Azur meets provencal Savoir-Vivre.

Destination

The Terre Blanche is conveniently located just 45 minutes from Nice and 30 minutes from Cannes and the beaches French on the French Riviera. Here, in the lovely outback of the chic Cote d’Azur it offers the best of both, the coast and the land and combines so effortlessly the sophistication of the Cote d’Azur and the authenticity of the Provence. Due to its location in the middle of the beautiful untouched nature it is a heaven of peace. The surrounding Provençal villages served as inspiration for the complex. The independent suites and winding paths fit seamlessly into the delightfully fragrant nature.

Suites

The All-Suites Resort is one of the Leading Hotels of the World. Thanks to the open architecture of its 115 suites and villas guests enjoy plenty of daylight and their generous amenities make sure that guests have everything they need. Warm shades, natural woods and stone create a comfortable atmosphere. The entry-level deluxe-suites are already 60 square meters large and consist of a bedroom, a walk-in wardrobe and a generous living area.

In the Premier Suites guests enjoy even more privacy and the villas have their own pool and jacuzzi.

All suites have fantastic terraces where guests can have breakfast on request.

Restaurants & Bars

By the fragrances and aromas of the Provence the Terre Blanche was inspired to a culinary offer which leaves nothing to be desired: At Gaudina, a stylish brasserie, guests can enjoy their breakfast, dinner or some drinks either inside or outside with view on the lush vegetation. The menu offers a refined Mediterranean cuisine which consists of fresh and local products.

At Les Caroubiers you can savor light meals with view on the golf court. If you are more into exquisite cuisine, the Faventia (which earned one Michelin star) is the place to be.

The Tousco beside the pool offers a wide range of salads, pizzas, BBQ and fresh fish specialties, while the Pitchoun is specialized on kid’s menus up to 12 years. People meet in the Patio with its relaxed atmosphere to have tapas or sip a refreshing cocktail.

Meetings & Events

Whether it be an incentive journey, a product launch, or any other kind of event, the Terre Blanche offers a wide range of really exceptional event opportunities.

The 4 big and bright conference rooms at ground level can be connected with each other and each of them has its own access to the terrace or an exit to the patio so that guests can enjoy a coffee break outside. Countless restaurants and terraces with wonderful views, the two championship golf courses or the Spa offer variety and relaxation.

However, the opportunity of renting the whole resort (115 suites) exclusively and using one’s own provençal village as spectacular setting for example for automobile events or any other kind of large-scale events is definitely the highlight.

Golf

The Terre Blanche provides two superb golf courses of international repute: „Le Château“ und „Le Riou“ as well as a unique training center throughout Europe. Furthermore, the hotel has been awarded with the GEO® (Golf Environment Organisation) certification and in 2018 it was named the best golf course of Continental Europe. The architect Dave Thomas not only succeeded to harmoniously insert the golf course in the landscape but also to create a championship course that challenges every kind of golfer - no matter your playing abilities -  but it’s not an insoluble one.

Wellness & Spa

The luxury resorts 3.252 square meter big Spa is located in between fragrant flowers and cypresses and offers relaxation deluxe in a stylish atmosphere. You can chose between going to the gym, or leaning back in the sauna, the hammam or the therapy showers as well as enjoying beneficial massages and beauty treatments inspired by the traditions of Provence. The bright and generous 20-meter long indoor pool with its columns reflects a Roman bath. At the Vitality-Pool one can relax on the massage lounges in the water at 35 degrees Celsius and the Zen garden is the perfect place for meditations, yoga and pilates.

Leisure & Surroundings

From the infinity pool of Terre Blanche you can enjoy the view to the magical hinterland of the Cote d’Azur. One can enjoy the privacy in generous cabanas and the water temperature never falls under 28 degrees celsius all year round. In addition to the numerous golf- and wellness opportunities, Terre Blanche offers water aerobics, yoga and pilates, two tennis courts, art- and creative workshops as well as the possibility to take part at wine and champagne tasting. The immediate surroundings are inviting for cycling, hiking, climbing, canyoning and rafting.

My recommendation: The cooking classes in the aromatic garden. More on this below…

You can only find this at Terre Blanche:

Sustainability

The Terre Blanche was designed in strict connection with nature as a heaven of peace and has been recognized for it’s eco-friendliness amongst others by the GEO® (Golf Environment Organisation) certification. Both golf courses of the resort with their valleys, lakes, streams and forests have not only been inspired by nature but the golf course architect Dave Thomas has also carefully integrated and preserved the existing landscape relief and the natural vegetation of this wonderful place.

But also in many other areas the resort operates in the context of sustainability, e.g. water is only taken by the nearby canyon and from numerous water reservoirs.

The best Rosé vineyards

Not farm from the Terre Blanche there are a lot of rosé vineyards which are rated among the most renowned of their kind. That’s why winemaker Sacha Lichine from the “Chateau d’Esclans” who has awakened the vineyard from its enchanted slumbers in 2016 pursues one simple mission: he wants to produce the best rosé in the world. It may appear ambitious but the conditions are excellently fulfilled: 80 year old self-rooted grapevines and outstanding soil, not to forget the top-class oenologist Patrick Léon from the Chateau Mouton Rothschilds. You should not miss to try the most famous wines of the house, the „Whispering Angel“ or the “Rock Angel”. These are wines with fragrant aromas, sparkling colors, character and depth.

Cooking classes in the aromatic garden

Pleasure-seekers and culinary aficionados are going to love it: the “Jardin de Senteurs” (garden of fragrances) at Terre Blanche. Between flowers and herbs the chefs of the resort offer guests the opportunity to  dive into the secrets of Provençal cooking in a relaxed atmosphere as a couple or a group of four. The masterclasses always take place outdoors in the morning and address various areas of interest as purely plant-based cuisine, Provençal candy, macarons etc.. Those who would like to, also get the opportunity to learn the perfect cooking of lobster, truffles or caviar. An authentic experience at a place that stimulates all senses.

My Insider Tip

A JOURNEY THROUGH BLOOMING LAVENDER-FIELDS

No other plant is so easily associated with the Provence as lavender. The violet glowing fields appear on many postcards of this region and the lavender blossom from June to July is truly one of the best times to visit the Provence.

The Terre Blanche is the perfect starting point for experiencing the beautiful lavender blossom. From here you can easily undertake a daily trip among the impressive Verdon Canyon which on both sides counts with numerous scenic highlights and picturesque villages. On your way you should definitely not miss a lunch stop in Moustiers Saint-Marie which is one of the most beautiful villages of France. Don’t forget drinks and sun protection ;-).
