Thanks to executive chef, Rolf Fliegauf and his team, the Ecco restaurant in the Giardino Ascona has become one of the best gourmet-restaurants in Ticino. Europe’s former youngest 2-star chef impresses with a puristic aroma cuisine. But not only his menu but also the location with its’ atmospheric wall of roses and its’ service are exceptional. The result: 2 Michelin stars and 18 Gault-Millau points.

The second restaurant, Hide & Seek offers a, light, innovative and Ayurvedic cuisine with regional products. The award of 15 Gault-Millau points speak for themselves. At the pool-bar one can enjoy refreshing drinks or BBQ-specialties.

Architecture

In 2021 the Giardino Ascona surprised its’ guests with a complete Make-Over. Together with the designer Daniel Pouzet, the garden with its’ pool-area and the terrace, the winter garden, bar, lobby and yoga-pavilion were redesigned. During this whole process, the name „Giardino“ - garden - has been the source of inspiration. „Heaven of peace-feeling“, that’s how Daniel Pouzet describes the atmosphere at Giardino Ascona. A lot of white and bright beige colors let the nature take centre stage. Floral design elements and handpainted carpets emphasize the features.

Wellness & Spa

The name “dipiú” - “more” says it all. In the dipiù Spa guests will encounter a world full of vitality, beauty and balance where they will feel right at home and where they will lack nothing. The offer ranges from massages, fitness and cosmetics, via indoor and outdoor pool with sauna to ayurveda, yoga and meditation. All the applications are inspired by Ticino and the products consist of regional ingredients. Guests will find everything for the outer beauty as well as for the inner well-being.

Ayurveda

In an increasingly fast-paced world we need places that provide us with power, mindfulness and peace. This is the only way to maintain a high level of health. «Ayurveda by Giardino»-treatments offer just that. They are based on ancient Far Eastern knowledge but yet characterized by Mediterranean ease. The goal is to stimulate the body’s self-healing powers and easily integrate Ayurveda into ones everyday live. The cures with a duration of at least 7 days emphasize on different sections and help agains acidity, overweight or underweight, increasing pains in the back and joints, warning signs of burn-out, insomnia and allergies. In addition, one can attend yoga- or meditation-retreats or get to know the Ayurvedic cuisine.

Golf

The Giardino Ascona has a direct access to the 18 hole course of the The Patriziale Ascona Golf Club. Due to its cultivated park landscape and magnificent view of the lake and mountains, it is considered to be one of the most beautiful golf courses of Europe. Thanks to mild temperatures during winter and the pleasant breeze during summer, the excellently equipped golf- and driving-range can be used throughout the whole year. In his 30-year career, head concierge Claudio Caser has met many personalities and made the impossible possible. VISITING ITALY WITH THE HOTEL’S YACHT

Hair flying in the wind, Champagne in you hand and a fresh breeze on your skin - this is probably the most exclusive way to explore Lago Maggiore. Giardino has its own motor yacht Frauscher 1017 GT which can be rented for exclusive adventures for 2 to 7 people. From the marina Patriziale you cross the lake directly to the Italian shore. Not far from the beautiful coastal town Stresa opposite the Isola Bella, one can enjoy a delicious Italian lunch at Ristorante Milano. Afterwards you go around the Borromean Islands and past Santa Caterina del Sasso back to the domestic port. An amazing experience!
